About Me
Who I Am
I am a passionate open source software advocate that runs Debian for my daily driver, a Proxmox cluster on Dell server hardware to host my ZFS file server, Syncthing, Jellyfin, Apache for this website, etc., custom built pfSense and OPNsense router boxes, and enjoy shell scripting, ANSI C, Python, and various embedded systems hardware and software. I enjoy mechanical design work, CAD, board-level electronic repair and design.
For the past three decades I've spent considerable time in industrial guidance systems, electrical control systems, refrigeration, manufacturing automation, maintenance, supervision, and management. I help bring complex operational ideas to life.
I am a doctoral student at Liberty University and serve as a Mechanical Cooling Systems Subject Matter Expert for one of the world's leading AI hyperscalers.
When I'm not geeking out on all of the above, I'm studying the word of God, spending time with my wife and children, maintaining my home, contributing to the open source community, and thinking about my next project.
